Usually around 2 hours or more. Carvoeiro has no railway station and no direct airport-to-village public transport link, so most journeys require connections through Faro, Lagoa or Estômbar-Lagoa:

  • Take the local Linha 16 bus from Faro Airport to the central Faro bus or train terminal (20 mins).
  • By Train: Board the regional train to the Estômbar-Lagoa station. Note that this stop is located roughly 7km inland from Carvoeiro, demanding a final local taxi link to reach the coast.
  • By Bus: Board the Vamus regional network bus heading towards Lagoa. Once at Lagoa bus terminal, you must catch a secondary, local connection down into Carvoeiro village.
